Hello! My name is Jeronimo Silva. I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and in 2009 I moved to Blacksburg, Virginia to pursue my B.S at Virginia Tech. I graduated Virginia Tech with a B.S in Wildlife Sciences and after working on several seasonal projects across the southeast I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2015 to pursue my M.S. at Tennessee State University. In 2019, shortly after completing my M.S. in Agricultural Sciences, I moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to  work at the regional USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office as a private lands biologist implementing the Southeastern Hellbender Conservation Initiative (SEHCI) in Tennessee.  In May of 2021 I started my PhD at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, where I currently study freshwater mussel declines.

This website helps me keep my wondering mind and projects in one place. It also provides a one stop shop for my distant family to keep up with my adventures!
